35MM, COLOUR, DOLBY, 93 MINUTES, UK/USA, ENGLISH / DIRECTORS: JIM HENSON, FRANK OZ

Set within the mythic world of renowned puppeteer/writing duo Jim Henson and Frank Oz (The Muppet Show, Sesame Street) The Dark Crystal follows the quest of young, elf-like ‘Gelfling’ named Jen who must undertake a dangerous quest to find a way to heal his fractured world to honour the passing of his Mystic master. Living in a world blighted by the warring factions of ‘Skeksis’ a vulture-like warrior race and the gentle ‘Mystics’ who have been forced into exile, Jen must complete the quest as foretold by the prophesy and find the missing shard to the ‘Crystal of Truth’ to bring peace. Featuring an all puppet cast, The Dark Crystal is an ambitious and visually spectacular high fantasy film.
